Are you searching for some casual sports shoes for occasional running? And would you like that kind of running model to be also a bit budget-friendly? If so, then please keep reading this review because Adidas U_Path Run model is pretty much that way. I ran and tested them on some 50 miles so we are gonna take a look at it in this review. If you prefer to have some other authentic reviews or see their current price on Amazon, you can check it there.
So first of all, be prepared that Adidas U_Path Run shoes are technologically nothing really impressive but much better than other shoes of that class from different brands. They definitely maintain their category standard. What I personally really liked was how easily you can get in and out. You can use the D-Ring lacing system, but to be honest, I don’t think you really need that. It is more for a decoration than for a lacing function. How is that possible? Because Adidas U_Path Run shoes fit close to your feet. Very snug. They are even a bit narrow at the entrance of the shoe. That might be a disadvantage especially as soon as you are in a hurry and you need to put them on ASAP.
Speaking about inner, there is a Ortholite sock liner, which is removable and antibacterial. So whenever it gets used, you can easily get rid of it and replace it with another one. Thus keeping hygiene is very easy. Especially convenient if you use it for every-day wear. As for running itself, I would see Adidas U-Path Run shoes a bit similar to Downshifter 9 from Nike. Not just for the similar shape and pricing, but because the midsole feel the same. It is not for long-runs. The midsole is rather firm and not really for joints protective but contrasting to Nike Downshifter 9, it holds the arches and offers support a bit better.
What I couldn’t really get used to, was the missing tongue. Yeah, you read it correct. Look at the picture below, there is no tongue at all. Which again makes it a bit uneasy to put the shoes on. One more small thing is, how fast the upper gets soaked. I tried running a few miles a couple of times also in rain and I can say, this is absolutely a running shoe for indoors and sunny weather. Which is fine, I didn’t really expect miracles from it. It doesn’t say it should be waterproof. Just be aware of this observation and take it easy.
Anything else to add? Well, not really. I find Adidas U-Path Run as a model of medium quality and pretty good for casual sports activities. Also, running something around 5 to 10 kilometers hasn’t been a problem in my case. So if you want to give them a try, then I can fairly recommend you to check them out.
Not a real runners shoe like running barefoot.
Good for the fake runner jogging for a mile twice a week and wearing them on the go the rest of the time.
Very difficult to slip on. Nowhere as easy to slide on as Yeezys and not as comfortable. Would only recommend wearing this as a casual shoe. They really shouldn’t call this a running shoe.
