As a frequent runner, my picks are always well-renowned brands with a reputation when it comes to running shoes. I love Nike Pegasusu 37 for its springy rebounds. Also, I like Hoka One One Bondi 7 for a very huge amount of cushioning or Nike Revolution 6 for its awesome lightness and stylish look. Generally, there is no denying that the whole brand Adidas also checks these boxes in all regards. Recently, I had a chance to purchase a new pair, and on my trip to the mall, I came across the newly launched Adidas Run Falcon 3.
The beautiful color range and exceptional design immediately caught my eye (they offer in many variations), and I impulsively decided to purchase. Ah, that woman instinct! But was it a good purchase or a bad one? How about we let the features make that decision?
Comfort
If there is one aspect that I have always been pretty particular about when purchasing shoes as a woman, it is the comfort they provide. I never liked stiff, hard-sole shoes, and the outer softness of these Falcon runs was a primary reason I decided to try them.
However, upon wearing it for the first time, it was probably the most comfortable pair I had come across. Why is that? Well, while the outside material was soft, the inner soles were so comfortable it immediately led my feet to cloud nine.
Cloudfoam Midsole
There is a fine line between good comfort and too much softness. Regarding this pair, the line blurs depending on your preference. Can’t understand what I mean? Let me break it down for you.
While many people love soft shoes that provide extreme comfort, too much softness can become a drawback for many. Hence, if a stiffer or thicker midsole is what you prefer with overall comfort, the cloud foam midsole of the Adidas RunFalcon 3 won’t sit well with you.
Though, I won’t deny that the maximum softness will help absorb the impact of the race while providing a more fluid stride, the level of softness you are willing to stand is what matters here. These Adidas Run Falcon 3.0 are simply very soft.
Color and Design!
Adidas didn’t compromise when it comes to the outer look and design of its new Falcon Run 3 wear and launched it in exceptional color ranges, too. The beautiful colors and the jogger design were quite an eye-catcher. Given the many color options, I am sure you’d find the one you like best as well.
Heavy or Lightweight?
The Adidas RunFalcon 3 are unisex joggers with massive update from its previous version. This version features reduced weight of 8.11 oz (230 grams). Not only this, but the new pair has observed a size-drop of 9 millimeters too. This was a great benefit and another significant featural aspect I loved. Owing to their lightweight, these pairs provide great comfort and ease for someone like me who feel heavier shoes slowing them down while running.
Are There Any Negatives?
Though I found the Falcon Run 3 overall a nice pair, there is one definite drawback I’d like to warn you about. As mentioned above, this pair is exceptionally comfortable because it is too soft.
This naturally means that the outer layer of the shoe isn’t sturdy or hard enough to protect your ankles in case of a fall; hence, if you are a clumsy guy or girl who often happens to trip over their own feet while on the run, I would ask you to rethink your purchase decisions.
Falcon Run 2 vs. Falcon Run 3 – Which One is Better?
When a company replaces a predecessor, the successor is usually a better version in many aspects. This is the same case I found with Falcon Run 3 compared to Falcon Run 2. While the second version was excellent regarding looks, pricing, and comfort, it wasn’t breathable enough, and neither was made for longer runs.
However, the Falcon Run 3 is significant in terms of look, price, and comfort and is a great pair to run long miles too. The major courtesy for this is its ergonomic shape, which ensures your feet don’t hurt on longer runs. While this is my opinion, yours can differ in preference!
Should You Consider Getting It?
Now that you have read the feature breakdowns, this brings us to whether I believe that the Falcon Run 3 would be worth purchasing for anyone out there. I think it isn’t a bad pick for its price. The shoe has an exceptionally ergonomic design, is comfortable, has a range of colors, etc.
While I believe Adidas could have toned down on the softness and provided a sturdier midsole and better ankle protection, the two factors haven’t yet hindered my daily runs for me to go back and get a refund.
Wrapping Up!
To wrap my review up in a sentence, I’d say the Adidas Run Falcon 3 are a great pick. It doesn’t limit itself to running shoes and can you can utilize it for yoga, gym, and to wear while running everyday errands outside. They are stylish and comfortable; if you plan to add them to your closet, I’d say go for it!
