Long shorts from Runderwear are said to be great running underwear for long distances. I took a look at them, tried them and tested them for a few runs during the last month. I will mention what I liked and unfortunately also, what I didn’t like about them at all.
Firstly, I am pretty sure that you will definitely appreciate their length on long distances. Thanks to their length, they don’t easily roll up. It used to happen when I tested Hot Pants from Runderwear and it was pretty annoying. These do not end up on the top of your thighs, but go down ending above the knees. So that the risk of rolling is way lower than in case of Hot Pants. Next, they are soft and thin. As a matter of the thin, elastic fabric, I felt very comfortable in these running Long Shorts. Even when taking them outside for running in hot weather, I also felt very comfortable. The breathability is optimized for running very well.
On the other hand, because they are so thin, you can see a bit through and if you take a smaller size, it makes you see through even more. If you size down too much, every shape is visible. This was also the reason why I decided not to use it without having underwear below. The producer recommends using these women’s running Long Shorts as if they were underwear and shorts at the same time. Honestly, I wouldn’t do it… Definitely, I would recommend taking different underwear below.
Anyway, there is one more good point about them. If you have bigger thighs that usually tend to chafe against each other when running, these running Long shorts will save you. They are also on the ends very gentle for the skin, so I haven’t noticed any irritation even after long runs (on 12 miles tested). In the end, I would recommend women’s running Long Shorts for wearing as real shorts with underwear below. Without underwear I wouldn’t take it outside. Except for this issue, I think they are a high quality product great for any sports activity or running itself.
